CaLèFè Hauz Gastro Cafe
A place recommended by a friend of mine while wondering what to eat what to eat for lunch on a gloomy Wednesday.
It is situated at the new commercial building, Prangin Terrace, along Prangin Road Ghaut
CaLèFè Hauz Gastro Cafe is a unique cafe that highlights the old-fashioned feel aging back from the 50s or 60s.
It features posters and decorations that can only be found in antique shops these days.
You might be surprised with their old-schooled songs played at the background though.
Definitely a conversation starter for young generations these days.
From the logo, it obviously features pork as their specialty and definitely a good news for pork lovers :9
Of course,
there are still dishes without pork, for example their breakfast or desserts.
Seating is quite limited at the cafe and might not be too accommodating for larger groups.
It is more of a couple or foursome hang out-ish place due to their limited seating.
We did not explore the entire place though and their waitress recommended to be seated downstairs as I assume they might not have air conditioners up there? Hmm...
Their menu was definitely an eye-catcher!
It was so antique we were actually confused at first, like, what did they expect us to do with these books? lol
And as expected, their menu was hand written!
They have funny food categories, for example "Kopi Gian" for the coffee menu.

One thing about me, is that I HAVEEE to have Cafe Latté everywhere I go!
It's like how food critics having the same dish from every restaurant but for me,
I go with Cafe Latté ❥
Signature Wild Mushroom Soup [ RM10 ]
Upon ordering, the pretty waitress recommend to try their Signature Mushroom Soup.
"Everyone orders it whenever they come."
So, Okay-lah we will have one then.
The Fat One [ RM16 ]
-What I had-
From the platings, I can already feel its oriental-ness!
And definitely a breakfast for protein lovers to kick start their day.
Their scrambled eggs was definitely the highlight of the dish.
I literally mentioned Gordon Ramsey's recipe ah? after having the first mouthful of that juicy and fluffy scrambled egg!
CaLèFè Salad [ RM10 ]
-Miss Healthy Hor decided to have the salad, FOR LUNCH!-
Definitely a generous amount of fresh vegetables for salad lovers.
It's so healthy I feel guilty finishing my protein heaven breakfast haha!
Teriyaki Pork [ RM16 ]
-What Miss Siew Li had-
One of their signature pork dishes
Juicy pork meat with Teriyaki Sauce served with fries is definitely something!
Garden Frittata [ RM10 ]
-What Miss Ho Khai Ling a.k.a. LingLongTingTong had-
Frittata is an egg-based Italian dish similar to an omelette or crust-less quiche.
For this dish, it was a lil' bit unsatisfying I guess?
Definitely not how a Frittata should look like but overall,
it was okay :/
